Set up a trip in Trip Studio

Dates, deposit, pricing or room types, booking cutoff, sold-out — and the public trip page link.

6 min read · in your admin: /admin/collections/trips

A trip record builds its own public page and booking flow. Trip Studio replaces the generic form: fill in the details, pricing and deposit, save, and the page at /trips/your-slug is live. The bar at the top of the editor shows the Public link and a “View public page ↗” button once the trip has a slug.

Trip details

  1. Open Trips → Add / Edit Trips → Create New (or open an existing trip).
  2. Fill in Trip title, Hook under the title, Destination / region, and Dates (shown on site) — free text like “Oct 31 – Nov 6, 2026”. Year groups the trip on the list page.
  3. Set Meet / departs from, Total spaces, a Photo path and the Intro paragraph.

Dates & booking

  • Departure date and Return date are real timestamps; they drive the payment schedule and the manifest order.
  • No signups after hides the booking button after that date — the booking cutoff.
  • Public link slug is the URL. Keep it stable once shared.
  • Toggles: Passport required, Waiver required, Transfers included, Live on website (shown and bookable), Sold out.

Pricing options, deposit, room types

  1. Press + Add tier for each pricing option a booker picks from: Label, Price / person, Spots, an optional Note.
  2. Deposit / person is charged online at booking. Leave it blank for reserve-only (no online payment). Deposit note is shown beside it, e.g. “non-refundable, due at booking”.
  3. Balance due and Financing note are display text. Price line override replaces the auto “from lowest price” line on the trips list card.
  4. To book by room instead, press + Add room type: Label, Capacity (people sharing), Diver / person, and Non-diver / person (blank = divers only). When any room types exist, the trip page switches to the room picker and ignores the tiers.
  5. Offer a payment plan on this trip is on by default; Number of payments, Or every N months and Final due (days before) override your shop default.

Highlight blocks, What’s included / not included, We recommend, Common questions and the “Book through us” note fill the rest of the page. Press Save trip in the sticky bar.

TipSold out hides booking and stamps SOLD OUT on the trips page, but every existing booking stays intact. Use it when the boat is full, not to hide a trip — that is what Live on website is for.
CarefulWithin six months of departure the deposit option and the installment plan disappear from the public page automatically; bookers pay in full. Set Departure date correctly or that switch fires at the wrong time.
