Your first class, end to end

From posting the class to issuing the card: every screen in the order you will actually touch it.

This is the whole training loop once, on one page, so you know what comes next at every step. Each screen has its own guide with the details.

  1. Training → Post a Class. Pick the course, add the days (pool on Saturday, lake on Sunday, or a lake weekend), pick the location for each day, save. The class goes on your public calendar with a self-signup link, and to Google Calendar if you connected it.
  2. Sell it. Share the course link or the class signup link. Online buyers pay by card, sign the waiver, and land on the roster. Walk-ins: ring the course on the POS Register and attach the customer — they get the waiver by email and land on the same roster.
  3. Before class: open the class and look at the roster. Anyone missing a waiver or with a red physician flag is visible here. Send Class Info emails the venue and time to everyone.
  4. Pool day: Training → Class Day, pick the class, Day 1 tab. Tick attendance, log the confined-water session and the skills covered, submit. Each student’s training record updates and their stage moves to needs-lake.
  5. Lake days: same screen, Day 2 and Day 3 tabs. Log each open-water dive. After the last required dive the stage reads complete.
  6. Training → Send Training Records. Pick the student, check the record, Send for signature. They sign from their phone; you countersign under Instructor Sign. The agency referral form is generated and stored on their profile.
  7. Training → Issue Certifications, Ready to issue tab. Enter the card number and issue date. The student’s profile now shows the certification; the record closes.
TipTwo sessions on one day? Give each day a label (“Pool AM”, “Pool PM”) when you post the class so the Class Day tabs are telling apart.
CarefulIf a student is on the wrong class or the roster points at the wrong training record, remove them from the roster and add them again. Don’t change the course on the record itself — that rewrites history for every day already logged.
