Your website: contact details, homepage, pages, blog, staff and city pages
Website in the admin is where your contact details, homepage, menus, search titles and extra pages live; blog posts and staff bios are their own lists.
6 min read · in your admin: /admin/website
Open Website in the admin (Admin and Manager roles). Four tabs: Contact & homepage, Pages, Menus and Search engines — everything below is on one of them, and every change is live within a minute. Blog Posts and Staff Bios are separate lists under the same Website heading. Every plan includes the whole website: contact details, homepage, blog, team page, custom pages and city landing pages.
Contact & homepage
- Contact details: the public phone and email customers see (blank uses your account ones), your address, hours as written on the page, and the four hours boxes Google reads. Leave a line blank and it is left out.
- Homepage: the small badge line, headline, subheadline and trust bullets at the top; the stats bar (real numbers only — leave it empty rather than guess); the why-choose-us cards; a real customer quote; the closing call to action.
- Footer & links: tagline, strapline, social links, your Google and Facebook review links (also used by the newsletter review box and the certification email) and a community group link.
- Press Save changes at the bottom. Want a completely different homepage? Pages → Build a custom homepage; it replaces the standard one while it has sections.
Site Content on the full record
- Hero (top of page): Small badge line, Headline override (blank uses “Learn to dive with {your shop name}”), Subheadline, Trust bullets.
- Stats bar, Why choose us, Testimonial, Closing call-to-action — each ships with default copy, so a new shop looks finished on day one. Blank fields fall back to the default.
- Navigation menus picks which courses appear in your menus; prices come from your Courses. Social links fills the footer icons.
- Contact details: Public phone, Public email, address, Hours, Google review link. Areas you serve feeds your local-search markup.
- Search engine titles lets you override the title and description per page.
Pages and the page builder
- Website → Pages. Type a title — the web address fills itself in (you can change it) — and press Create page. Addresses that clash with a built-in page (courses, contact, blog…) are refused up front.
- Build it from sections: a Hero first, then cards, steps, an FAQ, your live course grid, reviews, a call to action. Each section is plain labelled fields; the arrows reorder, Duplicate copies one.
- Photos: press Choose on any picture field to pick from your image library or upload a new one. Pasting a URL still works.
- Save. The preview on the right is the real page as visitors see it — it updates on each save. Open live page opens it in a new tab.
- Search-engine title & description sit under the title, folded away. Blank uses the page title.
- Duplicate a page from the list to start the next one from it; Delete asks once, inline.
City landing pages
Tick “This is a location page” on a Page and the slug becomes the city, e.g. houston, rendering at /scuba-certification/houston. The location fields then appear: City, Region, Hero subtitle and pitch, Nearest dive site, Drive time, Neighborhoods, Why points and FAQs. Tick “One of our main class locations” to show it prominently; the rest sit under “Available on request”. Leave the “Course details, how it works, advanced courses” JSON empty to get the generic copy.
Blog posts and staff bios
- Blog Posts: Title, Slug (→ /blog/your-slug), Published date, Featured image, Excerpt (shown on the index) and Content. Untick Published to keep a draft hidden — drafts are never served to the public.
- Staff Bios: Name, Title / role, Headshot (upload), Bio (blank lines start paragraphs). Order — lower shows first. Untick Active to hide someone from /staff.
