Service Desk is the counter board: check gear in, track it through the shop, check it out at pickup. Every job gets a claim-tag number like S-1042 and moves across three columns — Checked in, In service, Ready for pickup.
Check in gear
- Under Check in gear, Search customers by name… and pick them, or type a name (walk-in). Add a Phone.
- Add each item under Items dropped off: a type (Tank / Cylinder, Regulator, BCD, Computer, Drysuit, Other), a Description like “AL80, teal valve”, and a Serial #. + Add another item for more.
- For a tank, fill in Hydro test date and VIP (visual) date for whichever was done today. It needs a serial number to track.
- Type the Work requested and set Promised by, then click Check in.
- A banner shows Tag S-1042 — write it on the tag and hand it to the customer. The form clears for the next drop-off.
Move it through the shop
- Checked in: click 🔧 Start service.
- In service: click Ready ✓ when the work is done.
- Ready for pickup: click ✉️ Notified once you have told the customer — it becomes ✓ Notified with the date. Click Picked up ✓ when they collect it.
- On any card, + Notes / Edit notes opens a box for findings and parts used; Save notes keeps it.
A card past its promised date shows ⚠ Promised … — past due in red. The Overdue only (n) button filters the board to those jobs; the Dashboard’s overdue tile opens the page already filtered.
Bill a tank service
A tank checked in with a serial number and a hydro or VIP date gets a tracking record, and its card grows 💳 Bill Hydro $ and 💳 Bill VIP $ buttons once the service has a price. Each opens the register with the line pre-filled for that customer. The button disables for two seconds after a click so a double-tap cannot open two checkouts.
Recently picked up at the bottom lists the last 20 completed jobs. Tank dates flow to Tank & Gear Tracking, linked from the page header.
