What customers see in the portal
How a customer signs up and in, and what each portal tab shows — courses, class days, orders and tracking, documents, uploads and to-dos.

Every shop has a customer portal at /portal on its own address — yourshop.divedesk.io/portal or your custom domain. It is the customer’s side of the same records you see in the admin, so knowing what they see saves a phone call.
Signing up and in
- Create your account at /portal/signup asks for First name, Last name, email and an optional phone, then Email me a confirmation link. Nothing is created until the link is tapped; it expires in 20 minutes. Tapping it creates the contact and signs them in.
- My Account (sign in) sends a one-tap link with Email me a sign-in link — each link works once and expires in 20 minutes. Sign in with a password instead → is there for anyone who set one.
- There is no password reset: the sign-in link is the reset. A password is set later under My Details.
The tabs
- Home — Things you need to do, and Coming up: the next class days and booked trips in one list.
- Classes & Trips — each course with its stage (eLearning → Pool → Open water → Sign record → Card issued) and What’s next; trips with any balance and a Pay the balance → button; class days.
- Certifications & Gear — every card on file, air fill credits, and service status for tanks you track.
- My Documents — signed waivers, training records and forms as PDFs, plus Send us a document: pick What is it?, Choose file or take a photo, and Send. Photos become a PDF, up to 10 pages; the shop is notified.
- What I’ve Bought — every order with its lines, tax and payment method; a shipped gear order shows the tracking number and link once the label’s tracking has synced.
- My Details — contact details, emergency contact, Set a password (optional), email preferences and Sign out.
- Ask Us Anything — a message form that reaches the shop by email.
To-dos and the resend button
Home lists what is outstanding: a physician sign-off with an upload for the signed medical, a trip balance, an unpaid invoice with Pay it now, missing profile details, overdue gear, and any document or training record waiting for their signature. Those last two carry Resend my link → — one tap emails a fresh signing link to the address on file.
