Physician holds

What puts a participant on a physician hold from the medical questionnaire, and how to clear it.

A physician hold means a signed waiver’s medical answers require a doctor’s evaluation before that person dives. Physician Holds (/admin/physician-holds) is the shop-wide queue, oldest first, so nobody has to notice the flag by opening the right waiver.

What triggers a hold

The hold comes from the RSTC Diver Medical Questionnaire on a waiver that has Include the full RSTC Diver Medical Questionnaire switched on. A participant is flagged when they answer YES to a starred question (3, 5 or 10), or YES to any follow-up item inside a box that a YES revealed. The flag is set from the answers at signing time and cannot be edited by hand.

Where it shows

  • A card on this queue with the participant, waiver title, email, phone, signed date and days outstanding. Three days or more turns red.
  • A red banner on the student’s training record: Physician hold on file — no diving until cleared.
  • The Physician evaluation required column on the contact’s Signed Waivers.

Clear it

  1. Get the hard-copy Diver Medical form signed by the physician.
  2. Tap Open record → to see the flagged questionnaire answers and use Upload signed medical to attach the form to the waiver.
  3. Back on the queue, tap Mark Cleared. That stamps the clearance date on the signed waiver, drops it off the queue and removes the banner from the training record.
CarefulMark Cleared is a safety record, not a tidy-up. Only clear a hold once the physician’s signed form is on file.
TipQuestionnaire answers are visible to admin and manager logins only. Instructors see the hold and the banner, not the answers.
