Pool and lake locations
Save each pool, lake and classroom once so class days, confirmation emails and the public calendar reuse it.

Venues (Training → Venues, /admin/locations) are the reusable pools, lakes, ocean sites and classrooms you run classes at. Set each one up once, then pick it from the Venue list when posting a class instead of retyping the address every time.
Add a location
- Open Locations under Students & Training and create a new one.
- Name it the way staff say it, for example “Community Pool” or “Lake Travis”.
- Set Type: Pool (Confined Water), Lake, Ocean, Classroom / Academics or Other. The type filters the picker, so a pool day only offers pool locations.
- Enter the Street address, then City, State and ZIP. The whole address goes into every student confirmation email and onto the shop calendar; only the city is ever shown publicly.
- Leave Public label override blank unless the city is the wrong thing to publish — a private home pool is better listed as “Private (by appointment)” than by its owner’s town.
- Add Park fee — Divers and Park fee — Non-divers if the site charges entry.
- Add Waiver link — Adults and Waiver link — Students / Minors if the site runs its own liability waiver. Both go into the confirmation email, labelled.
- Use Notes for parking, gate codes or what to bring, then Save.
Using a location
- In Post a Class, each day’s Venue list shows active locations of that day’s type. + Add new venue opens this form in a new tab.
- Email class info to roster in the class editor pulls the address, waiver links and show-up time from the location.
- Untick Active in the sidebar to retire a site without deleting past classes that used it.
TipA Private Class held at a student’s own pool does not need a saved location. Choose “type a custom address” in Post a Class instead of adding a one-off venue here.
